The Story I Need: A Short List

I've often heard the phrase, "Write the book you'd love to read". So, I spend some time pondering what books, TV shows, movies, video games, etc. I like and what I'd really like to read. I came up with a fairly long list. I'll abbreviate it for you.
Fairy tales are real
Vampires=Cool/Scary
Werewolves
Magic exists
Wizards=Normal
Dinosaurs
Mythological Creatures
Mythology is true
Superheroes
Knights
Angels and Demons
Enjoys itself
Action/Adventure
Archery
Sword fights
Armor
Jousts
Steampunk
Monorails
Demon Hunters
Choices matter
Everyman/woman as the hero
Advanced technology
Spaceships
Castles and Cathedrals
Pirates
Fantasy
Funny
I suppose, the story I need to write is something along the lines of: An assassin kills the president of a democratic nation that still has dinosaurs, flees on a pirate ship, and tries to avoid the pursuing knights and justice. The setting could be space, it could be medieval, it could be Victorian...but could it be all 3?
The question remains. However, I find myself wondering, "Why not?" After all, a society could live in castles and have knights but also have spaceships, esp. if the knights wore suits of power armor ala Iron Man or War Machine. And who is to say that there isn't a planet somewhere in the universe with dinosaurs still on it (Pern...er...not Pern, that's copyrighted)?
There is still much to flesh out and ponder, but this is just a beginning, like wind drifting across a grassy plain.
