My Writing Style: Research

Often, I find myself getting so caught up in researching a specific topic, even (or perhaps especially) if it's only going to be a small part of the story, that I lose a whole day to research and hardly write a word. Not necessarily bad. I just feel guilty if I spend longer researching something than writing that day. Plus, my style of research tends to lead me to jumping into another topic. So, I travel from topic to topic, getting more drawn in and thinking of new ways to add these bits into the story. Again, not necessarily bad.

I think I just need to find a balance between research and writing where I am comfortable with the amount of research and writing I've done each day. Or, I could just set aside days as writing days and research days, but I'm not that structured/organized.
